The questioned I asked myself was, what do I want to improve the most on in my career at this point? The first thing that crossed my mind was coaching. How can I become a better coach, motivator, and mentor to my athletes? What better way to learn more about coaching then to use my new scoop it to bring this information to me. I am excited about using this website, and if you would like to follow the link is in the top right corner of my weebly page.
Social Media can be the ruin of anyone; business professionals, Educators, Athletes, Student, and Parents, its reach and power knows no boundaries. Depending on what is trending that hour, minute, and even that second. However, Social media does not have to be the root of all evil, and can be used for good. Personal Web Presence can be used to market and promote oneself professionally.
Example Cynthia Washington a retired Air Force Military personel, and currently an Educator to the Las Vegas community does a good job maintaining a Personal Web Presence. Coach Washington maintains a clean, and professional web presences. However, Coach Washington could put more detail about her previous experiences before the Air Force. The profiles stay modest, and respectable. There are multiple accounts that are used for personal, and professional links. The professional links are created to maintain safe interaction with the younger generation due to being an educator. The profiles are made to be clean cut, and nothing fancy. This makes it easy to read, and to follow the updates. This is important attribute that one will be need to make sure to maintain on his or her links. Coach Washington is an educator, and a mentor to many athletes/students. Nothing should be taken off the profile, but to just add more detailed information. As stated before, more details about her past experiences should be posted. This would make her more relate-able to a younger crowd. I grew up in a small peaceful country town called Loyd Star. Where I mostly played sports , and went to church. I was fortunate enough to be a successful athlete due to the drive I had as a young kid. I played Softball, basketball, and was a percussionist in the band. After finishing up my Associates degree at a local community college. I transferred over to play softball for the Lady Seasiders at BYU Hawai’i. After two years I received my Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science. After the completion of my degree I had the opportunity to intern at the University of Hawai’i as a Strength & Conditioning Coach. After interning I returned to the Mainland, and started my career as a performance coach at Phase 1 Sports. I am currently a teacher at a local high school in Las Vegas. I am teaching physical education and entrepreneur classes, and head track and basketball coach. I enjoy the outdoors, and I am very outgoing. I am always up for a challenge. One of my favorite quotes states “Don’t let dreams be dreams!-Unknown” I live by this every day, and truly believe each person can reach their full potential with a dream and a passion for success.
